With two core subsidiaries – Unorthodox Communications and Unorthodox Sport – the Group delivers integrated solutions across strategic communications, athlete management, sponsorship advisory, government consulting, and sports media production. Our vision is to become Africa’s first globally recognised sports and communications powerhouse, scaling into new markets while driving measurable impact across society and the creative economy.

Founded in Johannesburg, South Africa, Unorthodox Group has evolved into a dynamic holding company with pan-African reach and global ambitions. Through its subsidiaries, the Group has successfully executed communication campaigns across Africa, Europe, and the US, secured over R10 million in commercial contracts, and represented world-class athletes and teams. Unorthodox is positioned to scale globally, leveraging its expertise in governance, strategic partnerships,and innovation.

Sibabalwe Sesmani
Group CEO

Ms. Sibabalwe Sesmani is the Founder and Managing Director of Unorthodox PR as well as the Group CEO of Unorthodox Group. She is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg, having obtained a Bachelor in Economics and Econometrics. Ms. Sesmani has steered the company into a pan-African business with access to markets and clientele in Southern Africa and West Africa, particularly, Nigeria and Ghana. She has also been nominated in the Africa Youth Awards as the most influential businesswoman in media and has been recognised by Black Management Forum for the Young Woman of the year award.

  • Unorthodox Sport – A multifaceted sports and entertainment company offeriwng athlete management, sponsorship and partnership advisory, government consulting, investment advisory, and sports content production.
